Our school has two fantastic kapa haka groups - a junior kapa haka group (Te Puna-iti o Te Wairoa) with members from year 0-4 and a senior kapa haka group (Te Waka Wairoa) open to members from year 5-8. Whaea Shelley and Matua William are our tutors.
Senior kapa haka (Te Waka Wairoa)
Senior kapa haka practices on Thursdays, 12-1 pm. This is an opt-in group for any year 5-8 students. They make a commitment to the group for the year after our initial 'give it a go' sessions at the start of term one.

Upcoming performances and events
Thanks to our kapa haka for helping us welcome our new entrants and new families to Clevedon School at our pōwhiri. Our Kapa haka groups have just started and are upskilling our newest recruits.
Junior kapa haka (Te Puna-iti o Te Wairoa)
Junior kapa haka is a compulsory activity for all year 0-4 students with Māori or Pasifika heritage. If numbers allow, we will open up this group as an opt-in for other year 4 students later in the year.
Junior kapa haka practices on Thursdays, 11.30-12.00.
