Showquest update - Term 2 Week 5 - costume base layers update, rehearsal weeks and dress rehearsal
Costume base layer information has been updated below. Changes highlighted in yellow. Please send your child's base layers in to school in a named brown paper bag by the end of week 6 (Friday 6th June). Please make sure every item is named. They can drop them off at the bucket next to Ms Odds' desk in the TRR from Tuesday morning onwards.
Weeks 6 and 7 are major rehearsal weeks. Your child will be in rehearsals most lunchtimes.
On Monday 9th June, we have a full day of rehearsals.
Friday 13th June is also a full day for our dress rehearsal. Barring illness, please make sure your child is able to be at school for the whole day both of those days.
Speaking of our dress rehearsal:
If you have any immediate family members who are unable to come to the evening show, they are welcome to come and stand at the back and watch at 12.30 in the hall. Space is extremely limited, so please do not advertise this far and wide.
Showquest update - Term 2 Week 1 - costume base layers
The majority of the students' costumes are being created and provided through school, however base layers are more individualised and personal, so we ask that these are provided from home. Please check with your child which of the 4 main groups listed below they are involved in and ensure they have the required base layers ready to go by the beginning of June. Do get in touch with any questions.
Matariki group:
All: Plain black bike shorts - need to be tight (no loose running shorts).
Girls: Skin coloured or black bra or crop top, plain black bike shorts (optional - if they’ll be more comfortable)
Chinese New Year group:
All: plain black singlet, clean plain black shoes
Girls only: Plain black bike shorts - need to be tight (no loose running shorts).
Diwali group:
Long sleeved plain black top AND full length plain black leggings:
Amber, Amelia, Asees, Mia C, Mia E, Molly, Polly, Sophie
Following students need JUST full length plain black leggings (no top required - black or skin coloured crop top or bra optional):
Grace M, Mila, Shyla, Bayley, Ryleigh
Following students do not need any base layers (black or skin coloured underwear):
Esme, Seerat, Navseerat, Japjot, Tailah, Thomas, Joban
Following student only needs long sleeved plain black top
Lyssandra
Backstage crew:
All: plain black full length trousers, clean plain black shoes
Maggie:
White shirt, denim shortalls, white sneakers
Tree spirits:
Skin coloured underwear
Opening scene students:
As well as the above, the following students need other items for the opening scene:
Ryleigh - denim shorts or skirt, black singlet or crop top (for changing after opening scene)
Tailah - baggy denim trousers, black singlet or crop top (for changing after opening scene)
Sophia - denim skirt
Lillie and Kensie - denim or black shorts, black singlet or crop top (for changing between scenes)
Joban - Denim or black trousers or shorts, black singlet (optional - for changing between scenes)
Lyssandra - Denim or black shorts
Niko - Denim shorts or trousers

Showquest update - Term 1 Week 4
Our Showquest date has been confirmed - Tuesday 17th June.
Dress rehearsal will now be on Thursday 12th or Friday 13th June, TBC.
Showquest update - Term 1 Week 1
Auditions for the lead roles will be happening in week 2.
We will meet with all of the Showquest students in week 2 and in week 3 we will send out parent permission on KINDO.
Rehearsals start in week 3!
