Kia ora, I’m Whaea Pennie and I’m excited to be teaching in Rūma Tahi (Room 1). While I’m relatively new to teaching, I bring a strong love of learning and a wide range of life experience into the classroom.

I live in Tōtara Park with my husband, our two daughters, and a very busy household of animals. I love being active and spending time outdoors, and before becoming a teacher I worked in sport development across several codes.

I’m passionate about creating a warm, supportive classroom where learners feel confident, challenged and proud of their learning, and feel very grateful to be part of the Clevedon School community.
