I am delighted to be working with our Year 7 and 8 students again. It is a privilege to be part of the Clevedon teaching team and the wider school community. This year, I am also honoured to be leading and mentoring our student leaders alongside my colleague, Stacey Connolly.
I grew up in India in an army family, which gave me the opportunity to travel widely and experience many different places and cultures. These experiences have shaped both my perspective and my approach to teaching. I moved to New Zealand in 2004 after marrying my husband, Sammy. We now live in Papakura on a small lifestyle block and are proud parents to two wonderful boys.
With over 20 years of experience in education, I remain passionate about supporting children to become creative, confident, and lifelong learners. I strongly believe in fostering a growth mindset and providing meaningful learning opportunities through our curriculum. Writing and Global Perspectives are particular passions of mine, and I enjoy helping students develop their voice, curiosity, and understanding of the world around them.
Outside of school, I enjoy travelling, walking, cooking, watching movies, and spending quality time with friends and family.
I look forward to getting to know more of our students and families as we work together throughout the year.
