Julie has been Principal at Clevedon School for the past ten years and has a strong and diverse background in education. Over her career, she has worked in a variety of schools in both teaching and leadership positions. Prior to coming to Clevedon School Julie worked alongside Professor John Hattie presenting his "Visible Learning" research around raising student achievement. She has led professional development for teachers around the revised NZ curriculum and National Standards; and has led Clevedon School to becoming the first " Visible Learning " certified school in the world.
Chairperson and Communications subcommittee
Hamish is in his second term on the Board. He has three girls at the school (Olivia, Isla and Kate). His background is in finance and investment and he runs a commercial advisory business. He sits on a wide range of commercial company boards.
Staff representative and Health and Safety committee
Chris has been appointed for his first term as a staff trustee on the board and manages the Health and Safety committee. Chris leads the Pohutukawa team and teaches in a year 3/4 class. Chris also has a leadership role in sports at the school.
Property subcommittee and PTFA subcommittee
Megan has two children at school (Ben and Emma). This is her first term as an elected Board member after being co-opted in the previous term.
Megan has been on the Fundraising Committee for the past 3 years which organises the Clevedon Social Auction. She has a background in Digital Marketing Consultancy and Project Management across a range of industries, in New Zealand and overseas.
Megan sits on the Property Subcommittee and PTFA Subcommittee in a governance role and is the Board liaison for the Pool Committee.
She is passionate about ensuring every student at Clevedon school has the support and resources they need to succeed now and into the future.
Communications subcommittee
Summer has three children at Clevedon School: Holly, Phoebe and Hunter Murdoch.
This is her first term as a trustee although she has previously been involved with the Board in an observing capacity.
Summer has been a member of our school PTFA and a Class Ambassador of her children’s classes. Prior to starting a family, Summer worked as a lawyer.
Summer is on the Communications and Engagement Subcommittee and the PTFA Subcommittee.

Communications subcommittee
Kirsten has two children at school (Milan & Xavier). This is her first term as an elected Board member after being co-opted for a short time in the previous term. Kirsten sits on the Communications Subcommittee. Kirsten is a Clinical Psychologist. She is dedicated to ensuring the diverse needs of our children and whanau are understood and that the learning and social environment at school is structured to optimally support these needs.
Finance subcommittee and Communications subcommittee
Sarah has two children at Clevedon School (Henry and Alice). This is her first term as a trustee on the Board.
Sarah’s background is in HR with a specific focus on leadership development and coaching, organisational culture and strategy development and execution. Sarah is on the Finance Subcommittee and will support Summer and the Communications Subcommittee.
