Sheryl Hodson
Year 5/6 Teacher (room 6)
It has always been my dream to live in the country and have horses, and that has become a reality. I live in Ramarama on five acres with my two horses and two donkeys, three cats, two chickens and numerous ducks, and my partner, Al. My other dream was to work in a country school, and I am very excited to have become part of the Clevedon School team. I have been teaching for 10 years, as I was a late starter to learning. In my ‘past life’ I was a legal secretary but dreamed of better things. I enrolled at Auckland University in 1992 and worked part-time to achieve my goals. I have a Masters in Psychology, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling as well as my Post-Graduate Diploma in Teaching. As you can see I love learning. I also love teaching. It is my goal this year to help your child realise that learning is fun, and you can achieve anything if you work hard and put your mind to it. I really enjoy teaching all areas of the curriculum, but my favourite subject is Mathematics.
