Deputy Principal - Full time, fixed-term position terms 2-4 (4 MU, non-teaching role)


We seek a highly passionate and inspired leader of learning to fill a fixed-term maternity position for terms 2-4. The applicant will have a sound knowledge of the NZC, excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff, students and community. The role will include strategic leadership of the school vision and charter goals alongside the senior management team, and overseeing team leaders. Leadership experience in the junior school would be beneficial.

Office Assistant - Full time, permanent position


We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team for a permanent position. Working as part of a great and friendly team in a busy paced environment, you will be responsible for looking after reception and undertaking general administrative tasks to support the Office Manager in the smooth running of the office. Your ability to multitask and deal with our school community, along with great attention to detail will mean you will flourish in this role.

Our ideal candidate will be a great communicator and be friendly and welcoming to children, parents, school staff and visitors. You will need to be flexible and happy to turn your hand to anything a very busy school environment can throw at you. First aid training and recent school-based work is highly desirable.

If you have a positive attitude, an outstanding work ethic, this is the role for you. Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand and hold a valid NZ drivers licence.

This position is term-time only for 32.5 hours per week (8.30am-3.30pm). Start date 30/04/18, or by arrangement as soon as possible after that.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the running of the reception desk
  • Opening, recording and distributing mail received
  • Answering incoming calls, dealing with enquiries and taking messages
  • Responding to incoming emails
  • Support across the wider office
  • Data entry, photocopying, filing
  • General administrative tasks

Skills and experience

  • Highly motivated and abel to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer focused with good follow-up
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A high level of accuracy in your work
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • A 'can-do' attitude with the ability to problem solve
